Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Jamaican Rum
- 1.5 oz Gold Rum
- 1 oz 151-Prrof
Demerara Rum
- 3 Drops Absinthe
- 0.5 oz Falernum
- 0.5 oz Donn’s
mix*
- 1 Teaspoon
Grenadine
- 0.75 oz fresh
Lime Juice
- 1 Dash Angostura
Bitters
For Garnish:
- Mint Sprig
Preparation:
- Put all
ingredients in a blender and add 6 oz crushed ice. Blend at high speed for up to 5
seconds maximum. Pour the mix in a hurricane glass and add ice cubes to
fill.
- Garnish with a mint
sprig.
- *Donn’s Mix:
- 3 crushed
cinnamon sticks. 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Boil the ingredients
and keep stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Simmer for 2
minutes then remove from the heat and let sit for at least 2 hours before
straining in a clean glass bottle.
- Add 1 part of
the prepared syrup and 2 part of fresh grapefruit juice together.
